Tahche’s growing partnership with Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) is already moving beyond the meeting room.
On June 22, Tahche representatives including Director of Executive Operations Mylene Celeste Balmores, Vice President for Special Projects Vicky Francois, and Multimedia Specialist Marianne Cañete joined RAFI for a field visit to Bogo City, Cebu.
The occasion was the official turnover of Temporary Learning Shelters to three schools hit hard by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu in September 2025: Ilihan Integrated School, Mabuli Elementary School, and Tambongon Integrated School. Alongside the turnover, the group conducted an on-site tour and assessment of each school’s current condition. The event drew a strong showing of community stakeholders, with DepEd and barangay representatives in attendance, as well as San Remigio Mayor Mariano Martinez.
Seeing the damage firsthand and the work still ahead gave the Tahche team a clearer picture of what rebuilding looks like at the ground level. The shelters are not a finish line. They are what keeps students in school while the longer work continues.
For Tahche, the visit marks the start of a broader CSR direction to extend the company’s community impact beyond Cebu city in a more sustained and meaningful way.
